Stamina ellipticals are designed for beginners and others seeking budget cross trainers. They’re manufactured by the same company that’s behind dozens of infomercial fitness products, some of which are endorsed by Suzanne Somers, Tony Little, Denise Austin, and other celebrities. Stamina brand elliptical trainers include the In Motion E1000, which fits under a desk, and the Stamina Air Resistance Crosstrainer.

Brand Features of Stamina Ellipticals

• Lower prices – Staminas are budget ellipticals, and the used machines sell for less than $300.

• Very short strides – The E1000 isn’t comparable to a regular elliptical machine; it’s a very small, pedals-only trainer. The Stamina Air Resistance Crosstrainer has a short 13” stride, which is only practical for smaller people.

• Few resistance levels – The E1000 has several resistance levels, which is rather impressive for something of its size. The Air Resistance model, on the other hand, has only 8 resistance levels – the fewest we’ve seen on a full elliptical trainer.

• Upper body exercise — The Air Resistance includes movable arm bars.

• Short warranty – Stamina machines have 1-year frame warranties and 90-day parts warranties.

Overall Rating for Stamina Elliptical Trainers

Stamina ellipticals are very, very simple machines. The Stamina InMotion E1000 gets points for ingenuity; it’s neat to have a highly portable, 24-pound exercise machine. However, the Air Resistance Crosstrainer pales in comparison to other low-cost ellipticals. It has cheap parts, a very short stride, and a short warranty to match.
